My name is Carol Seaborne, I specialise in helping people manage back pain and help life to feel a bit more normal through a holistic approach that helps you to take care of your back in a way that involves understanding your back pain, learning how to reduce symptoms and how to prevent it from holding you back from enjoying doing the things in life you love.
I can help by offering effective education, support and rehabilitative movement for people suffering with persistent or reoccurring back pain.
As a trained Level 5 Soft Tissue Therapist and a Foundation Training Instructor, I specialise in supporting people struggling with persistent back pain whether you’ve had a previous diagnosis of a disc injury, scoliosis, sciatica, or an old sports injury by offering personalised one-to-one coaching, group courses and classes – both in person and online – for ongoing support.
I offer a range of approaches to tackle the obstacles of managing back pain, from education, coping strategies, corrective exercises and movement confidence delivered in person and online, individually and in group sessions.
You can work with me one to one, take my women and back pain course or join in one of my weekly Foundation Training Classes all online!

Back Care One-To-One Coaching helps you find the right tools to manage your back pain, make better sense of your pain, what it means and what it doesn’t mean. I will help you create coping strategies to manage pain and deal with the worries that come with living with back pain.
By using Foundation Training we will explore movement to build confidence in you back. One-to-one support is available online or in person at my clinic and is designed to support people with persistent back pain.
My women & back pain course is an online course for small groups of women suffering with persistent back pain.
The course covers education, pain management strategies that directly relate to women’s experience of back pain. There is a strong focus on movement to manage pain and I will be introducing the unique concepts of Foundation Training.
Foundation Training is a movement practice specifically designed to manage back pain. You will learn to work with your whole body, whilst creating a better mind/body connection. It is easily adapted to suit your needs.
To target your specific needs, one-to-one Foundation Training is available online or face-to-face at my clinic. If you have previous experience of Foundation Training you can join a group class.
What is the difference between your online and face-to-face services?
For anyone seeing me in my clinic, I can include manual therapy. Everything else is the same. Manual therapy is an excellent addition to symptom management, but the most critical aspects are understanding your back pain and knowledge of how best to manage it and move.
Can you help me with my specific back problem?
Many of my clients already have a diagnosis, a disc injury, scoliosis, hypermobility, spondylarthritis, sciatica, etc. I screen everyone before accepting them as a client to ensure we can work together safely. If this is your first episode of back pain and you are worried about your symptoms, it is best to speak to your GP first.
How can I work with you?
I offer face-to-face and online appointments. Online appointments are on Zoom. You can book a consultation here.
How long are coaching sessions?
All of my sessions last a minimum of 60 minutes.
Still not sure if I am the right person to help you with your back problem?
Book a free 15-minute zoom call to find out more.
What will I need to work with you online?
All calls take place on Zoom. I need to be able to see all of you on camera standing up or laying down. A laptop or tablet is best as a phones screen may be too small. If we are doing movement-based work, you will need a yoga mat, space to be able to stand up, lay down on the floor on your back or your tummy (we can adapt everything if you can’t get down onto the floor), a dining room-style chair and, of course, comfortable clothing.
What makes the Back Care One-To-One Coaching different?
One-to-one coaching addresses more than just the biomedical side of back pain. It addresses how your back pain affects you physically, emotionally and in your daily life. It aims to help you learn about your back pain, understand how you have made sense of it, and provide you with ways of managing it in the future so you can manage and reduce your back pain.
What is Foundation Training
Whole-body movements designed to help you move away from pain. No specialist equipment is required. It will improve your posture and work your back muscles to build confidence and resilience. It is highly adaptable to suit all abilities, so you don’t need to be flexible or good at stretching.
How much does it cost?
Each person’s experience of back pain is unique, so a programme is tailor-made to what you need as an individual and your goals, so the cost depends on your specific needs.
